ifiber.net: Innovative Fiber Optic Solutions

ifiber.net is a regional network providing ultra high speed voice, video and data communications services. Founded in 2001, the company currently has over 100 customers, an approved patent, a tested and secure network, and SWOCA build 50% complete. The company is ready for full-scale commercialization and is seeking $10 million in phases to expand in Southwest Ohio and prepare patented architecture for national franchising.

ifiber.net's focus is providing extremely high-speed capacity, hundreds of times faster than current systems, as a third carrier in the industry. Any service provider can use the network and customers can save significantly with this new technology.

The problem ifiber.net's technology solves is getting data from the fiber optic backbone to the customer. Their cost-competitive delivery mechanism fixes this problem for clients such as governments, medical facilities, educational organizations, small/medium enterprises and rural/residential customers.

Their plan is to leverage their existing, highly-credible customer base and public private partnerships, and to continue emphasis on traditional face-to-face sales. Once the infrastructure is more fully deployed, they will add traditional marketing.

The company owns a patented Ethernet Optical Area Network (EOAN).

Their board of directors, advisors and administration are highly skilled and experienced. They are still seeking a Sales and Marketing Director, but several highly-qualified candidates have been identified.

Revenue projections are $1.7 million this year, growing to $32.4 million by 2012 with almost $8 million in cash from operations. Exit strategy for investors would be either acquisition by a company such as AT&T, Time Warner, Google or Microsoft, or an IPO to fund national expansion.
